Fox Sparrow

This morning we spotted a single Fox Sparrow in our yard. Not only is it our first sighting of the year, it is also the first time we have seen one in our yard.
Unfortunately it was chased off by a squirrel before we could get a photo.

It has been quite a spring in my backyard this year for Fox Sparrows. I always get a couple each spring, but this year they have been abundant since late March. They won't linger much longer now.
