Nice to see such good shots of a relatively shy (fast to slide in) turtle! If you haven't already, you may want to report them to Turtle Tally or similar.

I can do that for sure, there were close to a dozen of them various sizes in the area I came across this pair.

Bonus! Maps are less numerous than Painteds so it's always nice to see a healthy population.

if you see a turtle and want to report it. A photo can also be helpful as claw length etc can be an indicator of gender etc.
