I was at Sam Smith Park this evening to have a look at downtown during earth hour.
(There were fewer lights than usual, but it certainly wasn't dark!) There was one or more Woodcock calling from the area south of the south parking lot. It's mainly meadow with some small seasonal wetlands there.
There were also Red-necked Grebes calling off the south shore.
Be warned if you are considering visiting after dark: there are no lights, and it is a popular spot with partying youth. There were lots of them heading in as we were leaving.
