On Friday we did a day trip to the Bruce Peninsula.
This was the highlight!

Wow, this is something unique. Must be very exciting to see this endangered snake.

8) Awesome!  Had one of these gorgeous snakes sunning itself on some rocks in Tobermory close to my bare foot way back in the late 80's.

I had no idea what type of snake it was, a man walking by stopped and suggested that I move slowly, get up and move away.  Me "why?".  Man "there's a snake".  Me "yeah?".  Man "it's a Massassauga Rattler".  Me "oh".  I was actually afraid to move at all in case any motion set it off.  Anyhow, I followed the man's advice and everything was OK.  The snake remained relaxed on the rocks.

My first and only sighting ever of a Massassauga Rattler.

Yowza, what a story!
This is my second sighting, the first was 50 odd years ago in the Midland area.
