Hi All,

Yesterday afternoon I spent a couple of hours at Rosetta McClain Gardens and saw plenty!  Over 30 different birds in all.  Some of the highlights were; Turkey Vulture, Northern Flicker, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Downy Woodpecker, Blue Jay, Eastern Phoebe, both Golden-crowned & Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Brown Creeper, both Red-breasted & White-breasted Nuthatches, Hermit Thrush, Song Sparrow, Dark-eyed Junco, Brown-headed Cowbird, and an unID'd Hawk & Redpoll.

Also noticed that the lake (directly south of the park) was empty of waterfowl.  I guess the ducks are finally starting to head north.

Happy Birding!

I was at Rosetta McClain Gardens yesterday afternoon for a quick walk through and found a Brown Thrasher sitting quietly beside a pile of freshly raked leaves.  Not the most colourful of birds but it looked nice in the late afternoon sunlight.
