Thanks for starting the thread - despite their abundance I seek out Red Tailed Hawk for photography. Over the years I have had great luck in getting close enough of the juveniles and adults in Downsview Park. Here's a series of photos that I took back in one warm November day in 2015. This juvenile was sitting on a lamp post - I waited at far enough distance from him. At some point he dove straight down and flew away towards a tree nearby with a brown snake. I saw it started eating and then discarding it. Probably the hawk found it hard to handle the slithering snake - inexperience I guess.

Great flight shots of these speedsters. I know from my own experience how difficult it is to capture them in flight.
