Hi to all,
I'm new to the group and the area. Yesterday my stroll in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery included spotting this flock of cranes/herons/egrets. What are they? I only had my wide-angle lens on my camera and the birds were fairly high up. Thanks!

Herons and egrets curl their necks when they fly so that they don't seem to project very far when seen from below.  Also, they tend not to migrate in groups flying in V formation.  Geese don't have long legs.  These are cranes, and in this case, Sandhill Cranes.
