Last week Thursday I had the chance to observe a female pileated at Rattray Marsh on the hill near the pump station for at least thirty minutes up close allowing me to capture many pics including video of her drumming and calling... This morning I was able to spot her again in the North - West corner of the marsh area. I was informed the male is in the area as well... Who knows - they could be nesting in Rattray. There was also four Northern Flickers today on the hill near the pump station and one of the males was showing off his colours and dancing for the ladies...
