The invasion of Winter Wren and Golden-crowned Kinglet seen last week is now over. A few GC kinglet
are still around, although most of what moves at the small end of the size-spectrum is Ruby=crowned kinglet
present throughout the park. There are large numbers of sparrow about (American Song, White-throated and Swamp).
Saw only one Hermit thrush and it saw me so we're even. A few Myrtle warblers about (Yellow-rumped) but they inhabited
the upper precincts of the trees. RC kinglet were singing and displaying but I failed to capture any of that rapture.
We need a south wind to usher in the next wave of migrants.
