They have already arrived on Wolfe & Amherst Island's in our area.

I have even seen one in Colonel Sam Smith Park towards end of October - a few was reported lately seen in Tommy Thompson Park. They are here alright.

I went to wolfe island this morning for about 2 hours and found a couple of snowies along with one northern harrier

Oh that male Northern Harrier - an elusive bird that is not often seen. Aren't they called Grey Ghosts?

Yes, the males seem to hunt away from urban areas and often fly very low and fast when hunting. I managed to hop out of the car as it went by.
