Every time I visited Alogonquin Park I always looked for a Boreal Chickadee on Spruce Bog Trail without luck. Finally one showed up near the western entrance of the Darlington Provincial Park in Oshawa and has been hanging out with a group of Black-capped Chickadee. What a little beauty of a bird. Here are some photos that I took of the bird during my visit in the park on Jan 6. As a bonus I also got to see a Snowy Owl sitting on frozen McLaughlin bay only a minute away from where the Boreal Chickadee was seen.

Such a cutie! Glad these tiny balls of fun have northern relatives visiting them once a year.
