Two days last week I managed to see and photograph three life birds: A Black-throated Sparrow, a Western Kingbird and a White-faced Ibis. I missed the first report of a Black-throated in Whitby on Oct 6. Then on Nov 3rd another one was seen in Oakville, the following day I managed to see it. On the same day I drove westward to Hamilton to see the Western Kingbird, it is still seen as of Nov 15. The White-faced Ibis was seen and photographed on Nov 5 in Whitby.

1. Black-throated (left image) vs. Male House Sparrow (right image)

2. Western (left image) vs. Eastern Kingbird (right image)

3. White-faced Ibis (juvenile).

All awesome finds especially in your own region. Nice set of captures, their is a Harris sparrow at a home feeder in the Prince Edward County area.

The itinerant photographer records another set of amazing rarities.
I love the way you delivered your photos, using adjacent comparisons
presented in comparable size and posing in the same manner. Very
slick indeed. Where in Whitby did the Ibis settle?
