Yesterday (Nov. 28) just as I was getting ready to leave for the day I looked out the window to see a Summer Tanager on my feeder. Shocked, I fumbled around for the camera and managed a few quick shots. I noticed the bird was only interested in the suet feeder. While I was observing this bird a second tanager showed up on my neighbour's suet feeder. While I was trying to discern whether the second tanager was a Summer or Scarlet a Cooper's Hawk swooped into to spoil the party (it didn't catch anything). It appears these tanagers were a one day wonder as they are not back today. A couple of pics of the Summer Tanager, Brampton, Ontario: https://ebird.org/canada/checklist/S61821130

Great late sighting for sure. Nice that you were able to get a couple of shots.

Thanks -- educational moment for me....ahhhh....how could you spot it as an ST....being candid, I'd have spotted and said, "Oh...there's a warbler."

The heavy bill and body size sets it apart from warblers. It was about the size of a cardinal.
