I am not sure when I will be able to get out again with everything that is happening, so it was exciting to find this Short-eared Owl hunting near London.

Beautiful flight shot Steve. One thing about birding and photography for me is most often I am alone with little human contact so that gives me time to avoid large crowds during this time in the world so keep doing it if you can.

Olympian shot ... (see what I did there?) or, if you were heading back when you spotted it over your shoulder,
a Parthian shot; either way ... way to go! Perfect exposure, dynamic capture, as intimate
as if you were dressed as yet another SEO to achieve proximity. How did you get so close? I'd be trilled to even
see a Short-eared owl, or a long eared, or any owl. Now that I can't head out anymore
there is no chance of changing that status. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Paul and Shortsighted. I was able to find this owl through ebird as it has been a regular near Melbourne.

Gorgeous shot - I tried my luck about 6 weeks ago in Melbourne, just west of London and all I got to see was one far away just when the light faded to almost nothing. I just got back from a two week trip to India, so I am in self-isolation, no birding for me even if no one is around.

Thanks Dinu.  I was very lucking with this shot as the directions of the sun late in the day made it difficult to have lighting on most of the Owl based on where we shooting were.  Many of the images had a mix of bright and very dark sides to the bird that I just couldn't rescue with LR.
