Hello all,

I will be in Wasaga Beach for 4 days in 2 weeks (mainly to fish, but would like to spend one day birding in the Bruce Peninsula).

I have never been there and I really don't know much about it.  Does anyone have any suggestions (and directions) where the best spots would be to have the best chance to see a wide range of birds?

As I've indicated before I'd really love to see a bald eagle again (or any other birds of prey really), it anyone can suggest some locations that would be great

I appreciate any input.

Thanks,
Joseph

I live on the Bruce and there are a number of great places. Isaac Lake, Cabot Head, etc.  I also do the side roads and find a variety of sparrows and others.

There is a book called Birding on the Bruce that you can purchase at Suntrail Outfitters in Hepworth (on the way to Wiarton/Sauble). I can remember the author, but it is a smallish, affordable book that describes several places to go birding.

We've been to the mouth of the Sauble and St. Jean's Point, as well as the fen boardwalk in Oliphant.
