Pileated & Red Bellied, Tiny Beaches

This morning we had a  Pileated Woodpecker and a Red Bellied Woodpecker in the trees across the lane.

There is at least one very vocal Baltimore oriole moving around the tree tops. This guy is very elusive and hard to spot.

Yesterday and today there have been many Grackles around which is unusual for here. Otherwise normal lots of Jays, Robins
Chickadee's, I am hearing an Eastern Phoebe down the lane a ways.

Napper Beauty weather. Lots of Yard work to do.

Stay home they say. Well no one is listening . Busy as ever, lots of traffic, Motorcycle clubs, fancy Cars and cyclists.

Forgot to mention there are Northern Flickers and Chipping and Song Sparrows about as well.

It is a really interesting place in the Morning. I spotted the Pileated this morning but had no doubts that if I ran for the camera it would have just flown away and I would have spilled my coffee in the process. It was a long ways off staying on the shaded side of the Monster Oak trees across the lane.

Heavy Thunderstorms as we departed for home just before 6 pm, Used back roads as usual it rained heavy in spots all the way to just South of Hwy 89.  Hwy 400 in the Essa road area is a disaster, stay away!

Napper:) ps: playing with a different lens on the weekend, walked down to  a deserted the beach snapped a few test shots. Most shots are on from the ancient Sigma lens. These two from a NIkon with no major editing.
