The warbling vireos drove out some black bird, but everything happened behind thick leaves, so I couldn't tell what happened exactly.

I'll second that! And how close were you to the kingfisher? That's a really good shot of a very skittish bird. There's a kingfisher near the stream just south of Bestview Park and there are lots of trees overhanging the stream so I'll 'get' him eventually.

Btw Ally, did you ever put out a hummingbird feeder and if so have you had any hummers visiting?

Thank you! I was about 15 meters away from that Kingfisher. It flew when I tried to get closer. I couldn't find a good hummingbird feeder. The one I got from dollarstore, doesn't work properly.  There was a hummingbird in the trail which I saw last year, but I guess it's not going to come even it is in the trail this year.

My friend just asked what the red forehead mean for Hairy baby 2. And it struck me the male adult has red on the back of the head not front.
