Your hummer’s eye is nice and sharp and that is what counts the most. At least that’s what it says in 10 Tips for Better Bird Photos. Then again, I only believe half of what I read. Does that mean the eye only needs to be half as sharp, which isn’t really sharp, but that doesn’t mean it’s dull, I mean blurred, heck, I don’t know what I mean. What gets me is that you’ve managed to capture a bit of its telescoping tongue. I have such a powerful urge to connect that bit of tongue with the equally tongue-like white line on the other side of the bloom using Photoshop. That would provide a far-reaching tongue of epic proportions worthy of any early-blooming Rose-of-Sharon. Who the hell is Sharon anyway? Can I go now? Ha, that’s rich. I wasn’t invited in the first place.
