It has to be an Olive-sided Flycatcher. Unlike Ally, who seems to see them a few times a year, I had to wait long to see one. After missing out on many occasions I finally managed to see, not one, but three flying around, catching insects and even chasing each other away from their respective hunting territory. It was in West Deanne Park in Toronto. Here are some pics. I also observed an interesting behavior of one - but that's for another day.

Excellent to hear from you again Dinu. A relief really. I thought perhaps you had grown weary of us mortals and had moved on to richer pastures. So, Axeman, it means that there are perhaps more than four of us left.

Nemesis species are the ones that keep birders on course and fuel the adventure. Unlike you, however, I have a tome full of nemesis species that will likely never be observed by someone who remains essentially house-bound. I've never seen an Olive-sided FC either, or at least not for certain. I thought that I may have spied one a couple of times but without a photograph, or without close scrutiny with a binocular there remains reasonable doubt. You are the consummate curator ... leaving us with something to look forward to instead of just unloading the treasure box all at once. You have the stage, maestro. We await the next act.
