Have sparrow, will photograph

Delighted to have spotted a White-crowned sparrow in the backyard again this morning after not having seen one since some time in February. At one point, for a fraction of a second, I thought that I saw a second sparrow, but it disappeared into a shrub as soon as I set eyes on it. The bird photographed (below) even flew up to the feeder, albeit briefly, until chickadees pushed it aside
“beat it, chum”
and monopolized the trough. The WT sparrow behaved awkwardly while on the feeder as if it didn’t know quite comprehend the protocols for feeder-based feeding. I’m sure that there is a manual somewhere.
I managed to get a few useful shots, one on a perch adjacent to the feeder and another in a nearby juniper. Actually, there are two nearby shrubs, one on each side of the arbour and therefore almost in conjunction, juniper and Venus. One is bigger and the other closer to the sun. The sparrow appears to be a staunch Jovian and therefore chose the former shrub to reconnoitre. A wise choice indeed, since that was in accordance with my dysposition (sore back).
Is the coast clear?
