I'll be brief.
This past week week
Grackle invasion, They emptied the feeder on numerous occasions.3 House finches at the feeder all week.
Haven't seen one in months!2 Song Sparrows under the feeder. Haven't seen one in months!.A few Red winged Blackbirds.Juncos are still here hiding under my deck.Cardinals persisting at the feeder.American Tree sparrows were around earlier in the week but not around now.Turkey Vulture soaring over the house late last week and another today.Killdeer calls Early this week and again yesterday.Napper:)Back to my race :)

p.s my friend in NewCastle sent me an image of a a Female Golden Eye yesterday, It looked like it was on an inland creek......dunno never seen one before.

I am in southwest Caledon on the Credit river.  There has been Common Goldeye here on the river, not seen every day, since we came back on March 9.  Also had Common and Hooded Mergansers.  That’s a sign of spring for me!!!

Yes, I like the way you think. As soon as the ice melts in the flooded woods here in Pickering I think of spring and those Hooded merganser. There is still some ice present but sections of the flooded woods are open and being used by geese, Hooded merganser and Wood ducks. Even a couple of Trumpeter swans were there this morning.
