Much as I had hoped there was some modest evidence of the warbler migration having started. I mean, they were not dripping from the trees but I did manage to spot a few. Sightings are difficult to identify in the low light unless one is excruciatingly familiar with juvenile warbler species. Mostly I need to get a shot of one and then scrutinize the image to make an ID. I needed to shoot at f5.6 because of the low light, which only provides a shallow depth-of-field. All shots were taken at ISO 800.

Juvenile Magnolia warbler

Juvenile Blackburnian warbler

Red-eyed vireo - heard them first with their buzzy sound that always makes me think of Cedar waxwings, which I also saw today

Juvenile Yellow warbler

I'll probably try again tomorrow when it is cooler and not as humid as it was this morning. Not much wind this morning either.
