A few minutes ago I was outside prepping to pack the vehicle for the trip home when I clearly I could hear "Check" "Check" down the lane at the creek/ditch. I slowly walked down towards the creek to observe two Red "Naped" Bellied Wood Peckers, they where Chasing one another around making awful sounds. The area of the creek is heavily wooded with lots of undergrowth and is very dark. I'll unpack the camera and go have another look.
