When I was trudging through the snow at the foot of Beare hill I observed many track trails, mostly of rabbit and dogs. Quite often the track trails were crossing each depicting the 3rd level of chaos. I followed one track trail to see where it lead because I've been so often told that I have a one-track mind. It lead me into the weedy area for maybe ten meters and then the trail suddenly ended. Spooky. No disturbed snow as might be created by raptor abduction, just an abrupt end to the rabbit tracks. The most prominent tracks that I encountered were perfectly aligned and leading in opposite directions as far as I could look. The span was perhaps a little less than 1.5 meters. A Google search when I got home came up with "railroad track". I was disappointed. Not an animal. Maybe I should have taken a photo.
