Another gorgeous day with calm winds, blue sky and pleasant temperatures, although at 7 a.m. it still a bit nippy. I'm pleased to report that two Red-headed woodpeckers have returned, blue jays be damned. A Pileated WP also showed up once. FOY Lincoln sparrow for a brief moment. Still lots of White-throated sparrows but I didn't see any White-crowned today. Warbler sightings include: Black-throated green, Ovenbird, Northern Parula, Myrtle, Nashville, Blackburnian, Black & White, and Magnolia. The parula was easy to find because of its incessant calling. The Blackburnian were made apparent by their bright colour, visible from a distance. I was looking for a N. waterthrush but found an Ovenbird instead. No sign of the Blue-winged warbler.

Looks like a birdful day!  :D

I saw a green heron, but didn't get it in flight. When I put my camera down, it flew away.

A true birder! Even your camera has wings. I haven't seen a Green heron yet, but then again I'm not hanging around a swampy area or marsh yet, but you've given me an idea ... again.
