My Eagle eyed wife spotted a female RTH this afternoon just before 13:00 hrs. It was feeding at our Lilac bushes. She called me up from my basement lair to view the little one, we were observing from inside the front window. My camera(s) are up at cottage  :( we are headed up on Tuesday.

I haven't seen a hummingbird in the backyard yet, but then again, I have not put up a feeder because it attracts too many wasps, which means that I also am not providing an incentive for Baltimore orioles either. I have also not filled the seed/nut feeder in quite some time because it brings in cowbirds, grackles and RWBBs, including squirrels and other rodents. At the same time it fails to entice Red-breasted grosbeaks, which is not a good thing. I saw hummingbirds at Petticoat Creek Park a few days ago for the first time this year. So, I'm thinking, despite the risk of calamity, ... why do you have all your cameras at the cottage? I mean, are we talking about a stash of cameras? Do you have one of those secret compartments at the cottage, where you press a hidden button and a panel in the wall pops open and there is your entire arsenal of cameras and photographic accessories? You do, ... don't you? To think that I used to like you.

RE: Camera(s) at cottage, No point in bringing it home if we are going up in a few days. We had to depart because

one of my brilliant relatives scheduled a Wedding shower today. Who in there right mind schedules a wedding shower on a Sunday of a long weekend? >:(

We head back up after the long weekend to sort out some issues and continue with the yard work.

I'm not up to speed vis-a-vis "who in there right mind" because, well, because I'm surely not in a right mind.  A right state, ... perhaps, but a right mind is boring, signs of indoctrination with those special Kool Aid stains on a T-short.  Isn't "take care of some issues" mob lingo for arranging a hit? OMG, it just hit me ... your camera(s) have a calibre! That's why you have that hidden button and secret compartment, to store your large calibre ... cameras.  I hope I'm never in your sights.  I was just joking about that other stuff.  Everything's cool, cuz I've forgotten all about it.  I'll be going now.
