It seemed like a brisk sunny morning and therefore I took a walk to check-out the woodlot adjacent to the street.  Crows were calling, as were jays and cardinals and chickadees were present in small numbers, but what caught my attention were other small birds.  Turns out, the other small birds were mostly vireos, although I did see a single Magnolia warbler among them.  There were also two hummingbirds.  The vireos were all Red-eyed juveniles except for one with a soft pastel yellow breast.  After getting that one in my sights I concluded that it was a Philadelphia verio that couldn't wait to return to the Quaker City.
