Breezy and cool, but not as cold as during the previous days. Full sun at first then clouds moved in by 9:15. Arrived on site at 7:50 a.m. Noisy with robins, blackbird and starlings and this racket ended abruptly at about 8:10. Someone hit the MUTE button. Not a very active morning after that indiscretion. First sighting of some interest was a Red-bellied WP, just one, and never returned again. Was it something that I was thinking? Two juvenile YBSS showed up, scrapped with each other and took off. No Downy and no Hairy seen. Curiously, there were very few WT sparrows this morning whereas the place was lousy with them before Sunday. No WC sparrows seen either. No Song sparrows seen. Maybe four RC kinglets in total and one of those was along the road while walking from where I parked. An E. phoebe and an E. wood pewee was seen after 8:30. No birds of prey seen all morning. It's not over yet folks, although I'm inclined to think otherwise after a morning like this. Theoretically, Palm warbler, Myrtle warbler, Orange-crowned warblers, Winter wren, BH vireo, bluebirds and other procrastinators are still a possibility because there are still three weeks left this month. The only photos that I took were of the flycatchers.
