I have seen a coyote in Serena Gundy Park, as well.  As for the 401, last week there was a fox standing by the Morningside exit at about 1AM.  But when I got back on the highway ten minutes later, the fox was gone - replaced by a skunk.

What part of Mimico Creek do these deer and coyote range?  I have always wondered whether deer ranged along Mimico Creek as I know that deer are known to range in the other river valleys in Toronto(Etobicoke, Humber, Don, Highland and Rouge).  I remember reading the Guardian several years ago and it mentioned that in certain years, there is deer in West Deane Park.

What cracks me up is that  live in a rural area south of Owen Sound...I have never seen a coyote out here...I have heard them a few times...and I know that they're out there b/c local guys hunt them down in large numbers...almost all of my sightings are in a totally urban environment...Toronto and Mississauga...
