I was wondering...if those of who stroll in woods with oak trees, would take a look at old acorns (at least a year old) for colonies of slow moving, tiny black and red ants...the acorns will have a small circular opening..some colonies may be a mix of tiny black and tiny red ants...these would be examples of a socially parasitic colonies...some of the tiny black ants would belong to a species of "slave-making" ants...

If you find any, I'd love to know the locations.

Will keep an eye out next time I go. I mostly do Taylor Creek park and Warden woods during the weekends.
