Sorry no pic....but a large white hawk perched on pole...clean white breast and light grey wings and back...no markings...off highway 6 near Ayton (hour and a bit north of Guelph and about 30 mins. south of Owen Sound...)

This is a good posting for the Bird ID section as oppose to Southern Ontario sightings.  

White breast and grey back sounds like Male Northern Harrier - try a google image search.

Sorry, my bad...I thought there was a specific forum...but I guess I overlooked it...I'd blame it on being blonde but I"m bald...and that would be an insult to blondes...sigh...sorry again...I shall flagellate myself.

And YEP...it was a male northern harrier...thanks !!!
