It felt like I had an Airshow in my backyard this weekend :D

Saturday I saw a DC3 getting lined up to do a Hamilton Tigercats flyover.

On Sunday I saw the following:
8 Harvards in 2 groups of 4 side-by-side returning to Tilsonburg.
A Red WWI Fokker Dr. I and a SE5A Side-by-side returning to Brampton.
A Sopwith 1-1/2 Strutter flying very distant, also returning to Brampton.

There were several other planes seen, but they were too far away to ID.

Due to the Thunderstorm yesterday afternoon at YYZ, there were several aircraft re-routed to Hamilton, Ottawa, and Niagara Falls,NY. KLM691 using a B744 also flew over my house. That was the modern day highlight to the airshow :o

A total of 15 planes were seen. 14 Warplanes, and 1 Commercial 747.

Very cool re: KLM, my #1 all-time favourite commercial a/c!   8)

That was one wicked thunderstorm - it was pouring rain SO hard, it was like a whiteout.  Looking out the window, couldn't see trees, lake, buildings, etc. in the area!     I loved the non-stop lightning and thunder though - went out on the balcony for awhile then things became a little too close for comfort!

Apparently a special livery EVA Air came in tonight.  Unfortunately, found out about it too late.

It's funny to hear that Toronto got hit so hard by that storm. Grimsby had about 2 minutes of light rain

Was this the Special livery on EVA036 tonight?

Honda Indy Toronto my friend!  I was there and saw those 2 CF-18's fly by.  Power on the ground, power in the air, amazing and deafening too!!!

Great shots, thanks for sharing them.

I lost track of all the name changes...lol  Hope you had a great time Walter, and I'm glad you like the shots. And I'm certain you enjoyed the thunder that accompanied the green flag. :)

It's good to hear that the pilot is ok. This could have turned out very different.
