New to the forum and thought I would say Hiya.

Napper, it's sounds like you and i are almost neighbors (as the rules go being in the countryside) 4th line close to the tracks, with a nice view of some trout ponds

PS. I remember as a child our feeders just off old main st in georgetown used to get swarmed from time to time by Evening grossbecks, but I can't say i have seen 1 in about 30 years.  Any spottings near the Halton hills area over the last few winters ?

PSS. This past summer i had a Chance to see a partial albino C Grackle, white head with a few broad side whites and about 6 white tail feathers. Down in Glen Williams.

Great little pub in Glen Williams...The Copper Kettle...they have a nice little English garden with feeders and bird houses....we could convene a nice little meeting on their patio on nice summer afternoon

Ah yes, i know the spot well, the whistle has been used there a couple of times.

Summer is a tricky time for me, working in the garden landscaping industry. Once the horn sounds in mid april to about Nov1 it's go go go. But then again in the summers heat , one must rehydrate

I pass by there many times a week to get stock from Sheridan nurse.

Axe I think thats a great idea, if you have any bird walks in mind between now and feb 10 give me a shout if your interested in having company.

As of Feb 13th for a month or so on, i'll be on the shelf though. Left knee is getting scoped on that friday.

PS . that partial albino C Grackle i mentioned was just up the road from there in the Wildwood subdivision.
