Partial Albino Red-Tailed Hawk (Amherst Island)
on:

Located today on the south end of the island, a fairly long ways inland. Images are not the best but suitable for ID purposes. Didn't want to cross on fenced property without getting permission. No home owners around to ask, so this was shot from the road. This is my first time seeing one so that was the awesome find of the day, enjoy.

I have bever seen any species with any type of albino genes, so this red tailed was new one for the life list.

Very cool! I saw a partial albino crow once but this bird trumps it. I like how it is white but still has the characteristic red tail. A very beautiful bird and a great find.

I am not sure you could say "Rare" but most people (birders) have not seen one so they are scare for sure.
