Greetings!

Yesterday by the feeders at the Arboretum were 4 male RB Grosbeaks. I hung out under the pines and got some nice shots. Also present were the usual WT and Chipping Sparrows, Grackles, RWBB, and BH Cowbirds. House and Purple Finches and Gold Finches were also competing for the food. There is also an Oriole showing up but I did not see him yesterday.

In the valley there is a lot of birdsong and I caught a quick glimpse of a Yellow Warbler and my FOY Catbird. If I had the time I probably would have seen more.

We also went down to the Spit and saw the Red Headed Woodpecker and a pair of Peregrines.

A very nice birding day overall.

Cheers,

Bernie Monette
