Good morning all, new to this dicussion board and birding (one year).
If you see me, say hi.
Me - 6' 2", 210 lbs, late forties (I hate how that sounds).
Equipment - Sony A350 usually with a 500 reflex or a 70-300 sigma, often with an equipment belt.

I would like to thank the contributors to this site. Over the last few weeks I have been lurking and have tried some of the sites for the sights reported (Reesor Pond, Lynde Shores, Thickson Woods. And unlike some other sites I used to frequent, the posts are friendly and positive. Way too much negativity around in the world for my liking.

I also occasionally attend Brickworks (on earlier meeting with Niloc at High Park), High Park of course, Humber Bay and Earl Bales (my local decent sized park (you can hear the crickets just plain and dandy it's often so quiet) and various other places (often around London - family).

Off to Royal Botanical Gardens this Saturday, and weather permitting the Brickworks with my beloved better (by far) half on Sunday late morning and early afternoon. Hoping to find the resident kingfisher mainly (and it's a nice walk up to Davisville, into the pub for a meal and then on home).

Hope to post interesting stuff if not useful stuff in the future.

Welcome to the forum. Earl Bales is my local park, too! In the Spring and Summer, it's where my hubby and I walk on Saturday afternoons. Look for me. I wear a beige wide-brimmed hat, and my bins, of course. If you like this area, you should check out G. Ross Lord Dam at Finch and Dufferin. I haven't been there this Spring, but there are always interesting birds to see.
