Today was a great day to see birds.
I saw:
cedar waxwing
cardinal
red tailed hawk (being chased by 2 red winged blackbirds)
yellow warblers
family of wood ducks
kingfishers

West of the Don River, near Beachwood, there is a small retention pond. there is saw a lovely white egret fishing. after 5 minutes, a black crowned night heron flew down and stood beside it.
then another white egret came and both flew in the air, circled around and took off.
two more black crowned night herons landed to fish and then hid in the trees.
all of this was at 5 PM
