This morning I came across a mink that had been killed on a road in the Don Valley. It was so beautiful, gorgeous, just perfect in every way, sigh. Chocolatey fur, a lush tail, little paws.   I moved it into some tall grass at the side of the road so at least it wouldn't be run over and mangled any further.

I've seen one before, for a moment as it crossed the bike path. Anybody else seeing them around?

Such kindness you showed.
I often see minks in Humber Bay East and West Parks along the rocky shore and in the water.[/img]

I don't think I'd ever seen one in Toronto up until 4 or 5 years ago, but they seem to be widely distributed along the Etobicoke shoreline now.  It usually takes a bit of luck to spot them though.  They don't spend a lot of time sitting around in the open like muskrats or beavers.
