I was finished my walk at Lynde Shores this evening and noticed a baby raccoon in a tree, close to the path.  I took some shots, which turned out great, with the exception of two white eyes on the raccoon.  I tried the "Fix Red Eye" on my camera's software, but it does nothing.  Is there any way to correct?  I do not have photo editing software, but would appreciate a recommendation.  Thanks for any help!

This effect is called "steel eye". Red-eye doesn't work because it's not red(ish).

Normally I just do a colour replacement with a dark colour in cases like this.. I try to avoid flash to begin with.

You can download Picasa or GIMP for free, which should have a colour replacement tool/brush.

I have in the past used Paint on my own PC and just brused the white spots over with black and it turned out fine.
