Greetings
Went down to G. Ross this morning to see what was there. As I walked from the parking lot down towards the reservoir, I spotted Yellow-Rumped Warblers, Alder Flycatchers, Oven Birds, Cat Bird, Gold Finches and a Downy Woodpecker. All these birds where in the tall grasses feeding.
The water level was up abit so I couldn't venture out on to the mudflats. The Trumpeter Swan is still there(#965). Walked along the shoreline to the east side of the reservoir and spotted 3 Blue Herons, 4 BCN Herons, 3 Spotted Sandpipers and a single Great Egret. I then headed to the riding stables and found more Alder Flycatchers, 1 White Crowned Sparrow, several Eastern King Birds, Barn Swallows and many Tree Sparrows. Not many shots today, the birds were difficult to photograph.
G.Ross Park Reservoir is at Duffern and Finch. Head north on Duffern from Finch and turn right at Supertest(2nd set of lights). Follow the road all the way to the end by the riding stables and park. Walk west towards the reservoir. Have fun
Good Birding To All
