Started off at Thickson Woods area this-morning - bird activity was very high. At least nine Flickers including seven in one tree, a beautiful male Baltimore Oriole (only ever seen non-breeding plumage birds before), two juvenile Mockingbirds, etc.
Called in at Cranberry Marsh and saw a couple of Green Herons, Black-crowned Night Heron, Osprey, Kestrel and a host of other regular stuff. Had two jet-black downy young rails briefly feeding in the open but no sign of the parents - probably Virgina Rails.
Two Greater Yellowlegs at Reesor Pond as well as a Semi-P Sand and two Cliff Swallows.
