Waterfront Pathway Report

Just thought I'd share what I see every time I go for my trek from Frenchmans Bay to Rotary Park in Ajax! I can't wait for winter time to roll around because I think that this area will be filled with raptors given the grassy fields and high perches.
American Kestrel
Osprey
Caspian Terns
Common Terns
Great Blue Herons
Green Herons
Black Crown Night Herons
Great Egrets
Belted Kingfisher
Eastern Kingbirds
Cedar Waxwings
Barn Swallow
Cliff Swallow
Tree Swallow
Gray Catbird
Northern Mockingbird
Yellow Warbler
Northern Flicker

I was at Frenchman's Bay this evening and only saw an Osprey on one of the pilings in the distance. Where are you looking here? It's very busy. Does the Waterfront path go east to Rotary Park? Thanks Attila.

Hi there Moira,
I saw the osprey at the mouth of Duffins Creek next to Rotary Park in Ajax. He flew in from the north, made 2 circles and then went back up the river until out of visual range.
