Obviously I spend way too much time out of doors.
Some of my favoutire recent shots.
Goldfinch - not having a garden I miss out on these opportunities than many have. Caught at Col Sam Smith park, open field near to the car park. He let me get so close, pretty much full frame.

Song Sparrow well positioned (again Col Sam Smith park, in the marina area)

GBH just too close (is there such a thing) at the Brickworks

Red-tailed hawk at Reesor pond. If only he had flown over a hundred feet further west as he flew into the sun and curtailed my efforts (there were two of them gaining height rapidly)

Greater Yellowlegs - Reesor pond. Crept up to the rocks north west corner and I could hear him squawking, love the reflection.

Caspian Tern - Reesor Pond - the one that got away. If only I had been a fraction of a second later, not even a rippple as his beak entered the water.

GBH - Brickworks. Stitched severl pics together to get this he was so close.

GBH more detail - head and beak
