Lucky enough (and surprised) to see a Pileated Woodpecker in a large maple yesterday at the corner of Deer Park and Heath Street (Yonge & St. Clair area)
On a sadder note, seems to be that time of year again when chickadees (and other birds) meet an unfortunate end by smacking into highly reflective windows. Picked up two yesterday (Bloor & Church). Also found a dead Swainsons thrush at the base of an office building on St. Clair, west of Yonge (likely a nighttime collision).
