Beautiful day out at Second Marsh (only -14C). Swarmed by chickadees plus a few nuthatches. My highlight was having downy woodpecker feed off my hand - a first. Finally saw a GBH, rather cold. (Also saw many redtail hawks on the drive there and back, no pics, for some reason OPP don't like you stopping on the 401 for photography).
Hope you enjoy.

(Set up my camera on a tripod with a remote shuuter release attached, manually focussed just past the seed, lots of pics a few good ones)

GBH - we disturbed, unintentionally, and he landed on the path.

Downy woodpecker - someone has a bag of suet (?) hanging off a branch.

Common but Beautiful,
I agree.
Somethines we look so hard to find migrating or wintering species that we overlook the beauty that is in our backyards and parks all year.
Well done!!
