Thanks Denis, yah the snow was not that bad but it was all cloudy and dark so the colour is not able to really pop due to my lens only being a 4.0-5.6...

ah! sounds like the canon 100-400,which i had until recently.great lens,as long as there is ample light.

I was going to pick a favourite, but I can't.  The wood duck is stunning, the female cardinal and american goldfinch in the snow are stellar and I love the 'tude on the male downy.  Colin, your pictures are always wonderful - framed beautifully, great composition, etc. etc.  They are very peaceful looking.
