Another cold day out. Got my first Bald Eagle juvenile so I was thrilled.  I had to crop quit a bit, but anyway...  I also got my first Sharp-shinned hawk, and here also are a few others from the day.

Bald Eagle Juvenile, I know not great but my first and a keeper.

Sharp-Shinned Hawk

Pileated Woodpecker

Common Goldeneye

White-Breasted Nuthatch

and a couple of mallards.

the hen mallard is astounding.great wing position, sharpness, and catchlight.
i couldn,t make it out,as i was having an on-line astronomy garage sale.sold a bunch of stuff,to sustain my growing addiction for "L" lenses. LOL

Fantastic series!!!
Another Pileated!!
Wow, and my favorite photo I have seen of this bird.
There seems to be quite a few around this year. Or we are all getting better at finding them :D
Love the Bald Eagle.
Actually I love all these photos.
Thanks for sharing.

Great series Rui and congrats on the eagle.  I was planning to go to LaSalle for the first time on Saturday but wasn't feeling great so did a short trip to Halls Road.  The Pileated is top of my list (o.k. tied with the Snowy Owl - which I searched for Sunday to no avail).  I might have to make that trek next weekend.

I love the Goldeneye pic.
It looks like he's madder than 'h' and is coming after your camera!
