all 3 species of swans were at lasalle yesterday,muted,trumpeter,and one bonus tundra swan.

i didn,t have a close-up of one of these yet.poor thing was constantly beeing harrassed by the trumpeters.

Is the yellow near the eye an identifying feature of the tundra?

Yes, most Tundra Swans have some yellow, while Trumpeters have all black bill and facial skin.
