This duck caught my eye yesterday at Sam Smith Park:
The very plain grey head looks kind of Gadwall-like, but everything else about it looks Mallard. There's also a hint of green on the top of the head. I'm thinking maybe an older female Mallard? Here's a second shot with a male Mallard:
Any thoughts?
