White-cheeked Pintail Ducks ( many)
Black-necked stilt
Gray Kingbirds ( many)
Common Moorhens (many)

can you tell us which resort and which part of DR? (i'm just curious as this is very different set of birds than I saw around the Club Med in Punta Cana, such as Caribbean martin, palmchat, and pearly-eyed thrasher)
note that northern waterthrush is a warbler not a thrush, despite the name
Great Lizard cuckoo is restricted to Cuba and Bahamas - Hispaniolan lizard-cuckoo, perhaps?

The DR area is Punta Cana , the resort the Bavaro Princess . Some of these birds may be ones that are enticed to take up residence by the presence of the mangrove swamps.
Yes - Hispaniolan Lizard-Cuckoo is the bird.
